NIDIS (National Integrated Drought Information System) –
The U.S. Drought Monitor released an update on drought conditions across the State of Georgia that revealed that December’s rain has finally cleared the entire state of any drought conditions.
None of Georgia’s 159 counties have any drought conditions as of this week (Due to rainfall that occurred).
Only seven counties in extreme southwest Georgia have “abnormally dry” conditions (represented by the yellow highlighted area on the map).
