(Via Weis Radio) According to a report by WAFF TV48, law enforcement officials are currently investigating an officer-involved shooting in Marshall County.
Few details are available at this time; however, it appears the incident happened during the early morning hours (Monday, February 10th) on Lazy Creek Circle located on the outskirts of Albertville. One person is dead; we understand no officers were hurt in the shooting.
Initial reports indicate the incident began as a domestic violation situation in Boaz with the suspect fleeing prior to the arrival of law enforcement. Officers later found that subject in a trailer at the scene of the shooting.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, with Albertville, Boaz and Douglas Police are currently on the scene. State Investigators have also responded and are gathering information.
