A sixth Floyd County resident dies from COVID-19

GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

A sixth Floyd County resident has died from COVID-19, according to the latest report from the Georgia Department of Public Health.

The latest was a 70-year old man with underlying medical conditions.

Floyd County now has 118 confirmed cases.

Statewide, as of 7 p.m. Monday, there were 13,621 confirmed cases statewide with 480 deaths.

2,702 are hospitalized.

The rest have either recovered or are quarantined at home.

Three more Gordon County residents test positive for COVID-19.

The new positives bring the number of cases to 41, up from 38 Sunday.

No new deaths have been reported.

Polk County remains at 25 cases and no deaths while Chattooga County remains at seven cases and one death.

Bartow County has 223 cases and are up to 17 deaths.
