Large Theft of Puppies and Cash occurred at Petland in Rome Early Sunday.

Rome Police Department –

 

Around 7:30 AM Sunday Morning, The Rome Police Department responded to Petland on 1600 Turner McCall Blvd.

According to information provided by the Rome Police Department; 3 individuals are suspected of breaking the front door glass with a large rock.

2 of the individuals went to the dog kennel area and took 11 puppies, while the other took 2 cash registers and stole from the safe.

It is estimated that the puppies & cash that were stolen were valued at over $45,000.

Also according to the Rome Police Department, multiple other pet stores In the state of Georgia have also been robbed (In total with more than 52 dogs stolen).

It is unknown at this time if the cases are related. The Rome Police Department is investigating further into this.
