(Via WZQZ) An arrest has been made in connection with a fatal accident that happened back in March of this year that resulted in the death of twenty-two-year-old Chattooga County woman.
The accident took place on Sunday, March 15, 2020 on Highway 27 near the Pennville Church of Christ at Greeson Street. Both vehicles involved in the accident received extensive damage.
Chattooga County Coroner Earl Rainwater confirmed the accident took the life of Haley Brianna Smith of Summerville.
Over the weekend, twenty-year-old Caitlin Elizabeth Milam was arrested and charged with homicide by vehicle, DUI for alcohol, failure to maintain a single lane, driving on the wrong side of the roadway and speeding.
