Downtown Parking Enforcement Resumes Monday

Downtown Parking Enforcement Resumes Monday

June 19th, 2020 – 12:00 PM

The City of Rome –

The City of Rome Parking Office would like to keep the public, downtown community, and businesses informed on parking enforcement downtown, as parking enforcement is set to begin next week.

Parking enforcement was suspended for the past couple of months due to COVID-19 and the Governor’s emergency declaration. Now that business is picking back up and restrictions have been loosened, we want to support local as much as possible and ensure our customers are able to easily patronize our businesses so that our downtown remains vibrant. Our downtown businesses need the turnover in these valuable spaces for their customers now more than ever.

It is our intention to start full parking enforcement on Monday, June 22, 2020. This will include the 3-hour parking limit for on-street parking from 8am-6pm Monday through Saturday, as well as all of the permitted decks and lots. We kindly encourage businesses and residents to begin utilizing their assigned and permitted spots.
