STAFF REPORTS

The Floyd County Board of Commissioners will meet later this morning for a planning session.

Commissioners are expected to discuss law enforcement compensation.

Earlier this week, the Rome Public Safety Committee recommended pay raises to help with recruitment and retention of city police officers and firefighters.

Today’s county commission meeting will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Berry Shorter Room located upstairs at the Forum River Center and is open to the public.

Everyone may be screened prior to entering and attendees are asked to wear a mask and socially distance during the meeting.
