FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS
A 37-year old Cartersville man is in the Floyd County Jail charged with rape, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and kidnapping.
According to jail records, James Joshua Perez and another person showed up at the Sunrise Motel in Rome and forced a woman into their car.
The victim was driven to a trailer on Rockmart Highway where she was beaten, burned on the leg, and cut with a knife on her left shoulder.
The woman was not allowed to leave the trailer and was raped.
The incident occurred on July 24, according to the report.
