We would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that carrying a firearm at a polling location is illegal per O.C.G.A. 21-2-413 and O.C.G.A. 16-11-127.
O.C.G.A. 21-2-413 (i) states:
(i) No person except peace officers regularly employed by the federal, state, county, or municipal government or certified security guards shall be permitted to carry firearms within 150 feet of any polling place as provided for in subsection (b) of Code Section 16-11-127.

O.C.G.A. 16-11-127 (b) (7) states:

(b) Except as provided in Code Section 16-11-127.1 and subsection (d) or (e) of this Code section, a person shall be guilty of carrying a weapon or long gun in an unauthorized location and punished as for a misdemeanor when he or she carries a weapon or long gun while: (7) Within 150 feet of any polling place when elections are being conducted and such polling place is being used as a polling place as provided for in paragraph (27) of Code Section 21-2-2, except as provided in subsection (i) of Code Section 21-2-413.

Please leave your firearm in your vehicle when you go into a polling location. Possession of a Weapon Carry Permit or a Concealed Carry Permit does not allow you to carry into a polling location.
