The Georgia Department of Public Health reported 3,603 new COVID-19 cases statewide on Tuesday, the most in one day since August.
50 of those cases were Floyd County residents.
Bartow County reported 62 positive tests on Tuesday.
Gordon County reported 42, Polk County saw 10 and Chattooga County was at eight new cases.
Statewide, there were 27 confirmed deaths reported on Tuesday for a total of 8,496 since the start of the pandemic.
No new deaths were reported in Floyd, Bartow, Gordon, Polk or Chattooga.
736 Floyd County students and staff are currently quarantined, according to Tuesday numbers from the school system.
Coosa High had the most students in quarantine with 160.
There are eight positive COVID-19 cases in the school system.
One at Coosa High, five at Pepperell High and two at the central office.
As of Monday, 278 Rome City students and 47 staff were in quarantine.
That includes five student and one staff member who have tested positive.
