Georgia gas prices increased at the pump compared to a week ago.

Georgia motorists are now paying an average price of $2.51 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline.

Monday’s state average is 18 cents more than a week ago, 27 cents more than last month, and 21 cents more than this time last year.

Abnormally cold temperatures over the last week along the Gulf Coast have contributed to rising gas prices.

The situation is fluid and it is possible to see an increase in Georgia gas prices this coming week.

Local averages on Monday were $2.47 in Floyd County, $2.55 in Bartow County, $2.52 in Gordon County, $2.37 in Chattooga County, and $2.51 in Polk County.
