Rome Police Department –

The following Public Service Announcement comes from the Rome Police Department

“The Rome Police Department is seeking the communities help in solving a quality of life concern for local businesses and residents in the Broad Street area.

Our department is requesting that parents/ guardians speak to young drivers about the inherent dangers of speeding, reckless driving, distracted driving, and wearing a seatbelt.

We are also asking that families discuss the importance of good driving behavior and the legal requirements for operating a vehicle which has been modified to produce excessive noise.

Due to complaints and a previous request of voluntary compliance, officers will be taking a more proactive approach toward solving the problem.

We have listed some of the requirements below and are seeking the communities help in providing a safe environment for everyone who wishes to enjoy the Broad Street area.
