FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A 37-year old Rome man and a 30-year old Cave Spring woman have been charged with conspiracy to violate Georgia’s Controlled Substances Act, and use of a communication facility to commit a felony involving drugs.

According to Floyd County Jail records, James Christopher Jenkins and Lakisha Ciera Covington conspired with John Derrick Turner over the phone system at the jail to arrange the sale of an ounce of marijuana.

Turner was already in jail, having been arrested Friday in a drug bust on Pine Street.

Jenkins is also an inmate at the jail.

He was arrested on March 2 on charges of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
