“This is an urgent message for Floyd County families:
Based on the timing of the severe weather predicted this afternoon, Floyd County Schools will dismiss students and staff today, Thursday, March 25, beginning at 1 p.m.
There will be NO after school care today or any afternoon athletic or instructional programs for students.
Please remain aware of the weather this afternoon and tonight.
We hope to see everyone safely back at school tomorrow.”
