A 19-year old Rome man was jailed Wednesday on warrants charging him with statutory rape, child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, and misdemeanor obstruction of officers.
According to the warrants, Joshua Tyriek Anderson had sex with and molested a female under the age of 16 between April and May of last year.
Anderson also reportedly attempted to evade arrest by concealing himself in a bathroom at a motel on Martha Berry Highway as officers were attempting to locate him.
