The driver of a box truck was airlifted to an Atlanta hospital Saturday afternoon following a one-vehicle crash on Highway 140 east of Rydal in Bartow County.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the box truck was traveling east when it left the south side of the roadway.
The driver, a 21-year-old male, overcorrected, causing the box truck to rotate counterclockwise into the westbound lane.
The driver again provided steering input causing the vehicle to turn clockwise.
The box truck traveled into the eastbound lane and rolled onto its left side.
The box truck came to a final rest partially off the south side of the highway.
The driver suffered a severe injury.
A 21-year-old passenger suffered no injuries.
