A 56-year old Aragon woman has been charged with 2nd-degree vehicular homicide in connection with a single-vehicle wreck on May 3.

Eylonda Kay Luker was booked into the Floyd County Jail Tuesday on the misdemeanor charge.

Floyd County Police reports state that Luker lost control of her vehicle in a curve on Wax Road.

The Nissan began to skid and crossed into the other lane, where it struck an embankment.

The impact caused the vehicle to rotate before it reentered the ditch and began to roll; partially ejecting a passenger identified as 73-year old Patricia Jackson of Rome.

Jackson was pinned beneath the vehicle and died on May 5 at the hospital.

According to the arrest warrant, Luker caused the accident by driving too fast for wet roadway conditions.
