Georgia gas prices increased alongside rising crude oil.

Georgia motorists are now paying an average price of $3.06 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline.

Monday’s state average is 8 cents more than a week ago, 8 cents more than last month, and $1.07 more than this time last year.

High crude prices will likely contribute to gas prices remaining elevated this season.

Local averages Monday morning were $3.01 in Floyd County, $3.00 in Gordon County, $3.03 in Bartow and Polk Counties, and $3.06 in Chattooga County.
