Local groups to host Congressional candidate forum

NEWS RELEASE

One Community United, the NAACP of Rome and Floyd County, and the Floyd County Democratic Party are hosting a candidate forum for the Fourteenth U.S. Congressional District seat currently held by Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene.

The in-person forum will be held on Monday, April 25th at the Rome City Auditorium.

The forum will also be carried live on Facebook at One Community United, Rome, Georgia. All candidates have been invited to participate in advance of the start of early voting which begins on May 2nd.

Doug Walker will moderate this public event, wherein each candidate will have an opportunity to make a short statement. This will be followed by a question & answer session.  At the close of the formal Q & A session, time will be allotted for candidates to speak and mingle with attendees one on one. This allows candidates time to informally address issues that might not surface during the forum.
