A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on the Cedartown Bypass near Cason Road Monday.
According to the Georgia State Patrol:
A GMC Sierra was traveling north in the right lane and a Harley Davidson Motorcycle was traveling north in the left lane.
The driver of the GMC Sierra, Jose Adelson Orellana, improperly changed his lane and entered into the Harley Davidson’s lane of travel.
The motorcycle struck the Sierra between the front driver door and the front fender.
The motorcyclist, Joseph Franklin Owens, died from his injuries while en route to the hospital.
Orellana suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
