Man accused of trashing convenience store over cigars

A man is facing multiple charges following a recent incident at the Texaco store on South Tennessee Street in Cartersville.

According to a Cartersville Police Department report:

39-year-old Aaron Arthur Levi went into the store, asking for a pack of cigars.

When the clerk asked for ID, Levi began cussing and screaming.

The clerk stated Levi began pushing and throwing items from the counter on the ground and at her, causing an estimated $4,000 in damage.

Levi then threatened the clerk if she did not give him the cigars.

He was later located at his Forrest Avenue apartment, and police had to force their way in.

Levin was inside, smoking one of the cigars he took.

He is charged with robbery by intimidation, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, simple assault, and obstruction of officers.
