Three arrested in theft of mobile cart
Three arrests have been made in connection with the theft of a mobile bar cart from a location at 234 Broad Street back on November 4.
According to arrest warrants on file at the Floyd County Jail:
The bar cart, valued at $1,700, contained steak knives, flatware, aluminum foil, and other kitchen wraps, as well as some frying pans, valued at a combined $900.
22-year-old Evan Todd White of Lindale and 47-year-old Christopher Lee Sartin of Rome are charged with felony theft by taking while 23-year-old Caleb William Heard of Rome is charged with a felony count of party to the crime of theft by taking.
Man accused of fleeing from police in October
A 39-year-old man was booked into the Floyd County Jail Monday on a felony warrant charging him with fleeing or attempting to elude.
According to the warrant:
Roy Sanford Price Jr. made a series of turns at a high rate of speed in an effort to evade law enforcement back on October 25 in the area of Highway 27 North.
The warrant states that Price was under the influence of marijuana as he was fleeing from authorities.
He is additionally charged with DUI, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, failure to maintain a lane, obstruction of officers, no tag light, and a probation violation.
Report: Man purchased gift cards with stolen credit cards
A Rome man is facing multiple charges including five counts of financial transaction card fraud, four counts of entering an automobile, and two counts of being a party to a crime.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
37-year-old Joshua Adam Griffin and a woman entered several automobiles on July 24 and stole a Discover Master Card and a Capitol One credit card.
The next day, Griffin went to several department stores, including Home Depot, and used the stolen cards to purchase more than $1,200 in gift cards.
