Kennesaw man charged in burglary at Rome auto dealership
An arrest has been made in connection with a burglary at a car dealership on North Fifth Avenue that occurred on December 27.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
24-year-old Judah Mark Johnson of Kennesaw entered Sherold Salmon Auto Sales after-hours and stole a key card belonging to a 2018 Tesla Model 3.
He then used the key card to steal the vehicle from the lot.
Johnson is charged with felony counts of 2nd-degree burglary, entering an automobile, and theft by taking a motor vehicle.
Report: Woman hid in closet to avoid arrest
A 23-year-old Rome woman has been arrested on warrants charging her with a felony count of possession of a controlled substance, and a misdemeanor count of theft by shoplifting.
According to the warrants:
Brooke Cheyenne Reynolds had Xanax hidden in her bra at a location on South Broad Street and East Main Street back on October 11.
On October 20, she took $40 in cosmetics from Dollar General on Shorter Avenue.
AS authorities were attempting to arrest Reynolds Wednesday at a location on East 19th Street, she refused to come to the door.
She hid in a closet, resulting in an additional charge of obstruction of officers.
Reynolds is also being held on a probation violation.
Woman charged with meth possession
A Rome woman was arrested Wednesday after she was found with two baggies of methamphetamine in a pill bottle with her name on it.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
60-year-old Pamela Elaine Green was taken into custody at Old Dalton Road and Painter Road and charged with possession of meth.
Man accused of failing to register as a sex offender
A Rome man has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with violating Georgia’s Sex Offender Registry law.
According to the warrant:
33-year-old Francisco Miguel Pablo failed to change his address when released from jail on Christmas Day due to a conditional bond order.
He also failed to register as a sex offender with the sheriff’s office in accordance with Georgia Law.
