Two people are facing charges for allegedly neglecting a Navy veteran and 67 dogs at their Pine View Way home.
According to the arrest warrants:
48-year-old Neil Andrew Klopsch and 71-year-old Cherry Lynn Walker allowed the victim, who is a disabled, double amputee, to live in extreme filth that included animal waste caked on the floors, a cockroach infestation, and toxic levels of ammonia.
Klopsch and Walker also failed to provide adequate food, water, sanitary conditions, and ventilation for the dogs, several of which suffered from skin rashes.
Officers had to wear respirators while in the home.
Klopsch and Walker are both charged with neglect of a disabled adult and 67 counts of aggravated cruelty to animals.
