A Shannon man is accused of assaulting another man with a machete at his Barron Road residence on Wednesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
40-year old Christopher Alan Carter cut the victim’s hand with the weapon.
Carter also fired a shotgun and refused to obey police commands.
He is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a sawed-off shotgun, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, reckless conduct, and misdemeanor obstruction of officers.
