The Floyd County Commission will get an update on the ag. center project on Tuesday.
The update will come during the commission’s pre-meeting caucus, which begins at 4 p.m.
$8 million for the Agricultural Center was approved by citizens as part of the 2017 special purpose, local option sales tax referendum.
The facility will be located between US Highway 27 and the Armuchee Connector, east of Mt. Berry Square Mall, and it fronts Three Mile Road.
During the regular meeting, which begins at 6 p.m., the commission will consider certification of the estimated rollback millage rate for 2025, in accordance with House Bill 581.
The estimated rollback must be certified to the tax commissioner and tax assessor no less than 15 days prior to the postmark of assessment notices.
Assessment notices are expected to be mailed on May 15.
