-Floyd County Jail records-

An Adairsville woman has been arrested in a case that involves hundreds of thousands of dollars of jewelry.
According to the arrest warrant:
52-year-old Felicia Denise Carver entered into an agreement with the victim for the sale of high-value jewelry.
Over time, she received multiple pieces with an estimated total value of over $500,000, with the understanding that she would transport the jewelry to various auction houses across the United States to present to prospective buyers.
However, she kept the jewelry instead.
She also asked the victim for more than $5,000, claiming it was for auction-related fees.
Carver also appropriated some jewelry from the victim with the false pretense of paying for it with funds from a legal settlement while knowing that lawsuit had already been dismissed.
During an interview with police, Carver claimed she had returned all the jewelry to the victim except the items she had purchased.
However, during the execution of a search warrant, she was found with more than 30 pieces that were identified by the victim as being his.
Carver is charged with theft by conversion and false statements and writings.
