Three facing multiple counts of financial transaction card theft
Three people have each been charged with 26 counts of financial transaction card theft and seven counts of identity fraud.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
45-year-old Victoria Lynn Holmes of Springville, Tennessee, 37-year-old Carl Thomas Poland of Marion, Illinois, and 38-year-old Robert William Hastings of Armuchee
Holmes is additionally charged with being a fugitive from justice, while Hastings is additionally charged with theft by shoplifting.
Woman accused of using family member’s identification to commit fraud
A West Rome woman was jailed Tuesday on charges of 1st-degree forgery and identity fraud.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
35-year-old Destiny Renee Ross used a family member’s identifying information to commit fraud.
Ross gave police a false name and date of birth and signed a false name to the fingerprint card at the jail.
Ross is also charged with false statements and writings, giving a false name or date of birth to law enforcement and three felony probation violations.
She is also charged with a misdemeanor count of theft by shoplifting for taking $59 in merchandise from the West Rome Walmart.
Man charged with meth possession
A traffic stop on Highway 53 at Bells Ferry Road ended with the arrest of a West Rome man on Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
53-year-old Steven William Minthorn was riding his motorcycle while having a suspended license.
He was also found with suspected methamphetamine.
Minthorn is charged with possession of meth and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Teen accused of having alcohol, vape products
A Rome teen is facing charges of possession of a Schedule I controlled substance and possession of a vape product by a person under the age of 21 following his arrest on Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
17-year-old Emanuel Alexander Delgado-Dominguez was in possession of alcoholic beverages and three vape pens, one of which is considered a controlled substance.
He also led officers to believe he was 16 years old in an attempt to avoid going to jail.
He is also charged with underage possession of alcohol, and giving a false name or date of birth to law enforcement.
