Woman charged with burglary
An Adairsville woman has been arrested in a burglary on Jim Keaton Lane off Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Rome back on May 5.
According to an arrest warrant:
29-year-old Lashania Keeona Davis entered the residence, uninvited, and began damaging televisions.
She also stole several pairs of shoes and bottles of cologne.
She later admitted to the crime in a phone call with the victim, which was recorded and handed over to police as evidence.
Davis is charged with 1st-degree burglary.
Two arrested for loitering on housing authority property with gun
Two people are facing felony charges after they were found in a vehicle on Northwest Georgia Housing Authority property on Crane Street with a gun during the early morning hours on Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
17-year-old Essian Jamair Whatley was in possession of a Glock 22 pistol that had been reported stolen in Murray County, resulting in a felony charge of theft by receiving stolen property.
Whatley and 18-year-old Keshawn Cornelius Jackson are both charged with possession of a handgun by a person under the age of 18 and loitering or prowling.
Jackson is additionally charged with a felony count of possession of drugs past the guard line after he was found with suspected marijuana once at the jail.
