Report: Man made threats, fled from police

A North Rome man is facing a long list of charges following his arrest over the weekend.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

39-year-old Devonti Davez Daniel threatened a Cartersville woman in the area of Porter Street and Wilson Avenue.

He was also in possession of cocaine that was individually packaged, along with methamphetamine and two firearms.

Daniel, who is a convicted felon and was suspected of driving under the influence, then fled from police in a reckless manner, running stop signs and traffic signals, driving on the wrong side of the road, and throwing a gun out of his vehicle.

He then got out of the vehicle and fled on foot.

Daniel is charged with terroristic threats and acts, possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, tampering with evidence, reckless conduct, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane, driving on the wrong side of the road, failure to obey a traffic control device, 14 counts of running a stop sign, obstruction of officers, DUI, driving with a suspended or revoked license, and driving without insurance.
