Man accused of stealing wire from the airport
A Celanese man has been charged with a couple of thefts at the Richard B. Russell Regional Airport.
According to the arrest warrants:
38-year-old Roger Dewayne Callahan went onto airport property at took open helix wire valued at $4,500 on July 29 and again on August 2.
He was found with the wire at a scrap yard days later.
Report: Woman stole bottle of hydrocodone
A Morrison Campground woman is facing charges of possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor theft by taking following her arrest on Monday.
According to the arrest warrants
39-year-old Felicia Sherie Tyre was seen on video taking a bottle of hydrocodone from an elderly man while he was in the hospital.
Tyre was at the residence to collect the victim’s dog to care for it.
The pills were located at Tyre’s residence.
Man accused of damaging police equipment
A Cartersville man was booked into the Floyd County Jail on Monday on a felony count of interference with government property and a misdemeanor count of obstruction of officers.
According to the arrest warrants:
41-year-old Ian Galex Hays resisted officers and damaged a department-issued tourniquet holder.
Police had responded to the area of Beech Creek Drive on September 5 after receiving reports of Hays causing a disturbance and running through people’s back yards.
