Work is now underway to add a right turn lane on US 278/Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at the intersection with US 27 in Cedartown.
The project is expected to take about three weeks, weather permitting.
Once completed there will be three southbound lanes intersecting at US 27: a left turn lane, a thru lane, and a right turn lane.
Motorists should use caution in the area during the project and slow down while work is underway.
