The City of Cave Spring is in the initial stages of establishing a historic preservation commission, and on Monday, the public will get to share their thoughts.
A public hearing for the HPC ordinance will be held, starting at 6 p.m., at Cave Spring City Hall.
Despite having a number of historic structures, there is no official historic preservation district in Cave Spring.
In general, HPCs like the one in Rome guide development and renovation in historic districts, safeguarding historic structures.
