The Floyd County Board of Commissioners will hold the first of three public hearings regarding the millage rate for county maintenance and operations, fire, and solid waste when it meets Tuesday.
The meeting will start at 6 p.m., with the caucus getting underway at 3:30 p.m. at the County Administration building located at 12 East Fourth Avenue.
The commission will also consider a resolution calling for a referendum to let voters decide the sale of distilled spirits by the drink, and Sunday sales of alcoholic beverages by the drink, to include distilled spirits, from 11:00 A.M. until midnight.
Another resolution going before the commission concerns the issuance and sale of a tax anticipation note in the principal amount of $8.1 million and for other related purposes.
During the caucus, the commission will get an update on the ag center and hear a vehicle fleet presentation from Enterprise.
The commission will also go into an executive session to discuss property acquisition, litigation, and personnel.
