Tydarius Arthur McClure
One of the suspects in a shooting near Banty Jones Park on April 8 is now lodged in the Floyd County Jail.
17-year-old Tydarius Arthur McClure was transferred from the Department of Juvenile Justice facility on Marable Way to the jail on Tuesday.
He is charged with the offense of drive-by shooting; participation in criminal street gang activity; committing an offense to obtain, earn membership, maintain, or increase status in a criminal street gang; and aggravated battery.
According to the arrest warrant:
McClure, a purported member of “The Bloods” gang, drove the shooter to the area of Banty Jones Park in an attempt to inflict bodily harm to associates of a rival gang, but instead shot a 6-year-old child.
McClure then picked up the shooter and drove him away from the scene.
A juvenile, whose name has not been released in accordance with Georgia Law, is also in custody.
A third suspect, 18-year-old Isaiah Imari Curtis North, is still being sought.
