The Rome Alcohol Control Commission will consider the approval of beer, wine and liquor licenses and hear from a business owner regarding the city’s church distance buffer requirement when it meets on Monday.
During its March meeting, the ACC heard from someone wishing to open a wine bar on Third Avenue—a location within 300 feet of a church.
There was discussion concerning the modification of the ordinance but no action has been taken.
On Monday, Caress Cason with the Foundry on Fifth Avenue will address the ACC regarding the issue.
Also, on Monday, the ACC will hear beer and wine package license requests for 611 Shorter Avenue and for Juice Mart at 1439 North Broad Street.
The agenda also includes a new beer, wine and liquor pouring license requests at Mr.Mezcal Mexican Grill at 201 Broad Street.
The meeting starts at 5 p.m. at Rome City Hall.
