Stolen vehicle lands two behind bars
Two people were arrested in Garden Lakes on Monday and charged with theft by receiving stolen property.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
19-year-old Hector Angel Chavez-Vasquez and 18-year-old Chasity Elizabeth Dawn Hitchcock, both of Rome, were in possession of a stolen 2010 Dodge Charger, valued at $3,000.
Both Chavez-Vasquez and Hitchcock are additionally charged with misdemeanor obstruction of law enforcement.
Man charged with meth possession
A Rome man has been arrested in connection with a traffic stop back on May 7 on Lavender Drive at Redmond Circle.
According to an arrest warrant:
46-year-old Jeremy Charles Fisher was in possession of 26 grams of methamphetamine.
He is charged with possession of meth, possession of meth with the intent to distribute, and a probation violation.
Man charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute
An East Rome man is facing drug charges following his arrest on Old Lindale Road.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
A vehicle driven by 45-year-old Dwight Kareem Hodges was stopped for failure to maintain a lane.
He was then found with marijuana, individually packaged for resale, along with two scales and empty baggies.
Hodges is charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
