Man charged with meth possession, criminal trespass
A homeless man who is accused of trespassing is also facing drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
35-year-old Christopher Thomas Potts went onto a property on Turner McCall Boulevard after previously being banned.
He was then found with a small amount of methamphetamine and syringes.
Potts is charged with possession of meth, possession of drug-related objects, and criminal trespass.
Man charged with possession of ecstasy, marijuana
A Rome man was arrested on drug charges on Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
48-year-old James Cameron Summerour was seen on Flora Avenue after officers had received an anonymous tip in late June.
During a search, Summerour was found with suspected marijuana.
Later, while an officer was cleaning the back seat of the patrol unit, a pill, believed to be ecstasy, was located.
Summerour is charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Two charged in fight on Broad Street
Two men were arrested following a fight in the 400 block of Broad Street on Tuesday evening.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
50-year-old Derek Finley Moreland, who is homeless, took various items belonging to 46-year-old Keith Allen Maldonado of Rome from the table at a restaurant.
The two men then got into a fight.
Both are charged with affray, while Moreland is additionally charged with theft by taking.
