-Staff reports-
A new Unified Land Use Development Code ordinance regarding data centers is set for a first reading during Monday’s Floyd County Commission meeting.
The Rome-Floyd County Planning Commission voted 10-0 to recommend approval of the new regulations last week.
In June, the county commission approved an 80-day moratorium on data center projects to give staff more time to come up with an ordinance that would establish specific requirements for data center projects.
Tuesday’s county commission meeting will be held at the Floyd County Administration building on East Fourth Avenue and will begin with the caucus at 4:00 p.m. in the Caucus Room (Suite 204), followed by the Board Meeting at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Room (Suite 206).
