Man charged with aggravated assault
A homeless man has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with aggravated assault.
According to the warrant:
41-year-old Matthew Paul Chambers threw an open pocket knife at another man during an altercation on August 7 at a location on Pine Street in Rome.
Three arrested on Calhoun Avenue
Three Rome women were arrested on drug charges at a location on Calhoun Avenue on Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
During the execution of a search warrant, Rome-Floyd Metro Task Force officers recovered suspected methamphetamine, loose gabapentin pills, and syringes, which were inside a purse in a backpack on the couch in the living room.
56-year-old Montana Keunn Fisher, 34-year-old Myranda Leigh Smith, and 26-year-old Tatyana Dashawn Brown are all charged with possession of meth, possession of dangerous drugs, and possession of drugs not in the original container.
Smith is also being held on a couple of probation violations.
Traffic stop ends in meth possession arrest
A 64-year-old Rome woman was arrested during a traffic stop on East 20th Street at Hull Avenue on Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Robin Renee Crawford Jameson was stopped because her brake lights were not working.
She was then found with suspected methamphetamine and a glass smoking device.
