Warrant: Man entered woman’s residence, tried to shave her head
A Cedartown man was jailed on Friday on charges of 1st-degree burglary, false imprisonment, battery, and sexual battery.
According to the arrest warrants and Floyd County Jail records:
26-year-old Jeremiah Jahkeem Erie Stanley entered a home on East 14th Street on September 8.
Once inside, he pulled the victim back into the home by her sweater, preventing her from leaving.
Stanley also removed the victim’s clothing and cut her with a razor as he attempted to shave her head.
Woman accused of biting off part of another woman’s ear
A Rome woman was arrested over the weekend at her Dodd Boulevard apartment on charges of aggravated battery, simple assault, terroristic threats and acts, and disorderly conduct.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
30-year-old Kerricka Tremer Martin bit a part of a woman’s ear completely off.
She also loaded a round into a handgun in front of witnesses, and once at the jail, she threatened law enforcement and nursing staff.
Martin is also being held on a probation violation.
Man charged with cocaine possession
A South Rome man is facing drug charges following his arrest on Branham Avenue at Porter Street.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
24-year-old Joshua Lee Gibbs was passed out on the sidewalk, later becoming loud and boisterous.
He had a clear plastic bag containing suspected crack cocaine and a small amount of marijuana.
Gibbs is charged with possession of cocaine, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, and public drunk.
Man charged with meth possession, criminal trespass
A Rome man initially arrested for criminal trespass is also facing drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
48-year-old Michael Dewayne Green was at the high-rise on North Fifth Avenue, which is Northwest Georgia Housing Authority property, after having previously been banned.
During his arrest, he was found with suspected methamphetamine and a glass pipe.
Green is charged with possession of meth and possession of drug-related objects.
