The Georgia Department of Transportation has awarded a contract for slope repair on Highway 27 at Taylor’s Ridge in Chattooga County.
The project is approximately .208 of a mile and is designed to address slope stability along the mountain.
Wright Brothers Construction of Charleston, Tennessee, is the low bidder at just over $7.4 million.
GDOT lists the anticipated completion date as November 30, 2027.
