Man charged with aggravated assault, child cruelty
A Silver Creek man is accused of assaulting a 13-year-old child.
According to Floyd County Jail records
42-year-old Alexander Barrett Keasler choked the victim in the presence of an 8-year-old child.
Keasler has gone to the residence in violation of a conditional bond.
He is charged with aggravated assault, 1st-degree cruelty to children, and aggravated stalking.
Woman accused of using someone else’s debit card at a vape shop and a convenience store
A Rome woman has been arrested on a felony warrant charging her with financial transaction card fraud.
According to the warrant:
34-year-old Jessica Rene Creamer used someone else’s debit card on two separate occasions.
The first occurred on July 5 for a purchase of $313 at the Calhoun Avenue vape shop.
The second purchase, in the amount of $515, occurred on September 2 at a convenience store on North Broad Street.
Man charged in felony shoplifting incident
An Atlanta man has been returned to Floyd County to face a felony count of being a party to the crime of theft by shoplifting.
According to the arrest warrant:
On July 26, 32-year-old Cornelius Kaine Battle, along with an unknown accomplice, took $865.80 in merchandise from TJ Maxx on Turner McCall Boulevard.
Battle used plastic bags that were previously purchased to conceal the items.
