Warrant: Man bought 20 iPhones using someone else’s identifying information
A Fayetteville man was booked into the Floyd County Jail on Tuesday on felony warrants charging him with identity fraud and computer theft.
According to the warrants:
57-year-old Christopher Ingram used the identifying information, specifically the business address, of the victim to obtain goods and services from T-Mobile in June of this year.
He created an account on the T-Mobile website, using the information.
Ingram then ordered 20 Apple iPhone 16 Pros and had them delivered to the victim’s business address on Eagle Ridge Drive in Kingston.
Report: Man found with cocaine during traffic stop
A Cedartown man is facing charges following a traffic stop at Highway 27 South and Old Cedartown Road on Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
A vehicle driven by 39-year-old Christian Gonzalez was stopped after being clocked going 82 in a 60-mile-per-hour zone.
He was then seen throwing a clear, cylindrical container with suspected cocaine inside out of the passenger side window, which he denied.
Gonzalez is charged with possession of cocaine, abandonment of dangerous drugs, tampering with evidence, misdemeanor obstruction, driving with a suspended or revoked license, and speeding.
Traffic stop leads to meth arrest
A traffic stop for a stop sign violation at the Southwest Bypass and Burnette Ferry Road on Tuesday ended with the arrest of a Cedartown man on drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
50-year-old Scotty Ray Smith pulled out in front of another vehicle, nearly causing a wreck.
Suspected methamphetamine was then located during a consent search of Smith’s vehicle.
He is charged with possession of meth, DUI, and a probation violation.
