Thursday, October 16, 2025–7:40 a.m.
-Staff reports-

We are one day away from the start of the Wings Over North Georgia air show.
Some of the performers will begin arriving today.
The air show is on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the Richard B. Russell Regional Airport, and it is expected to bring in spectators from all over.
So, be mindful of traffic this weekend.
“We got an alert Wednesday from the Georgia Department of Public Health—they sent out an advisory to ambulance services, warning them of increased traffic going to Armuchee,” said Chris Fincher with Floyd County Emergency Management. “That applies to your listeners as well. Just remember, we’ve got an air show coming to town.”
Parking for the air show opens Friday at 1:30 p.m. and the gates open at 2 p.m.
Parking will open at 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, with the gates opening at 9.
