Man accused of assaulting woman

A Rome man is facing a felony aggravated assault charge following his arrest on Monday at his Jefferson Drive residence.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

46-year-old Christopher Paul Ingram grabbed a woman by the neck and threw her across the room.

He also placed the victim in fear for her life with a firearm and hid from the police.

Ingram is also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and misdemeanor obstruction of law enforcement.

Man arrested for meth possession

A homeless man was arrested at Heritage Park on Monday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

61-year-old Kenneth Banard Chambers was found with suspected methamphetamine concealed inside a metal container, along with a glass smoking device.

Chambers is charged with possession of meth, possession of drug-related objects, and a probation violation.

Man charged with aggravated stalking, battery

A North Rome man was arrested on Monday and charged with aggravated stalking.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

32-year-old Alfred Jamal Echols Sr. broke his conditional bond by having contact with the 98-year-old victim.

Echols is also charged with a misdemeanor count of battery.
