A 17-year-old Cartersville High School student was transported to the hospital with a serious leg injury following an accident near the school on Friday.
According to the Georgia State Patrol:
The student was allegedly running from school administrators and ran across Highway 41.
The student ran into the side of a utility trailer that was being towed by a pickup truck.
