Downtown Rome got a head start on Halloween fun Friday afternoon as crowds of families packed Broad Street for some early trick-or-treating.
Local businesses handed out candy to costumed kids, while the Desoto Theatre offered a free screening of It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.
Just down the street, law enforcement and first responders hosted the annual ‘Treats, Not Streets’ event, which turned the green area in front of the courthouse plaza into a safe, candy-filled celebration.
