Report: Man makes threat over loud music
A Silver Creek man was arrested on Tuesday after he was reportedly heard on a recorded 911 line threatening multiple times to shoot someone.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
67-year-old Willis Eugene Luallen made the threat in response to loud music coming from a neighbor’s house.
He is charged with a felony count of terroristic threats and acts.
Man arrested after being found with multiple credit cards, blank checks
A Silver Creek man has been jailed on charges of financial transaction card theft and 3rd-degree forgery.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
During a traffic stop on Spring Creek Street at East 18th Street, 35-year-old Benjamin Caleb Waits was found with a quantity of credit cards or debit cards that did not have his name on them.
He also had multiple checks with no specified amounts that had been altered to make them appear as though they had been made out by someone else.
Waits was initially stopped for an improper brake light.
He was also found with less than an ounce of marijuana and a glass smoking device with methamphetamine residue following a K9 indication.
Teen accused of having a stolen firearm
A stolen firearm lands a 17-year-old West Rome resident behind bars.
According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:
Jaylin Jermaine Montgomery was in possession of a stolen Taurus G2C 9mm pistol on October 30.
He is charged with theft by receiving stolen property and possession of a pistol by a person under the age of 18.
Man charged with felony shoplifting
A Rockmart man was booked into the Floyd County Jail on Tuesday on a felony warrant charging him with theft by shoplifting.
According to the warrant:
39-year-old Jeffrey Scott Gault took more than $516 in merchandise from the West Rome Walmart back on August 10.
