Rome City Commission meets Monday

The Rome City Commission will consider a number of first readings forwarded by the planning commission and go over last Tuesday’s election results when it meets Monday. 

A resolution to close a portion of the North Broad Extension from Veterans Memorial Highway southeast to the property of Burwell Creek Apartment, LLC, is also slated for a first reading.

The commission will also get an update on the former tripper service, including the disposition of the City of Rome’s tripper vehicles and the recovery of federal interest

Monday’s meeting begins at 6:30 pm at Rome City Hall.

During the caucus, which starts at 5 pm, commissioners will hear from Lynda Phelps with the Georgia 10 Commandments Project.
